Terms of Service

Welcome to DoorCash. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DoorCash iOS application ("the app," "DoorCash") operated by DoorCash ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using DoorCash, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using DoorCash, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
DoorCash is a rental property financial tracking application for iOS. The app allows you to:
- Track income and expenses across rental properties
- Import bank transactions via Plaid integration
- View per-property and portfolio-level financial summaries
- Scan receipts for transaction entry
- Export financial data as PDF or CSV
- Ask natural-language questions about your portfolio
DoorCash is a financial tracking tool, not a financial advisor. The app does not provide tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and any device used to access DoorCash.
- You agree to provide accurate information when using the app.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of property information, financial records, and any data you enter or import.
- You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
4. Financial Data and Third-Party Services
Plaid Integration
DoorCash uses Plaid to connect to your bank accounts. When you link a bank account:
- Your bank credentials are entered directly into Plaid's secure interface and are never shared with us.
- Plaid provides transaction data to DoorCash for your review before it enters your ledger.
- Plaid access tokens are stored server-side with encryption at rest.
- Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's Terms of Service.
Data Accuracy Disclaimer
While DoorCash strives to present accurate financial information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data imported from third-party services including banks and financial institutions. Transaction data from Plaid may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors originating from your financial institution. You should always verify imported data against your official bank statements.

DoorCash provides financial tracking and informational summaries only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You should consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.
5. Subscription and Payments
DoorCash may offer subscription-based premium features. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscription management, billing, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple. We do not process payments directly.
6. Intellectual Property
The DoorCash app, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and content, is owned by DoorCash and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content
- Use DoorCash branding or trademarks without written permission
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the app
7. User-Generated Content
Any data you enter into DoorCash (property details, transactions, notes) remains your property. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your financial data.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- DoorCash is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for DoorCash in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information presented in the app.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DoorCash, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
10. Termination
- You may stop using DoorCash at any time by deleting the app and, optionally, deleting your account from within the app.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to DoorCash at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will remain in effect.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. Your continued use of DoorCash after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The updated Terms will include a new effective date.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DoorCash shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DoorCash regarding your use of DoorCash and supersede any prior agreements.
